Bling-trinn har aldri vært helt min stil, så dette ble raskt demontert. Her er det kun svart stål som gjelder, og da måtte det jo bli en ny kanalbeskytter, eller råkkslaider, som det heter på godt norsk. Er jo mulig at Aussie-style har vært litt inspirasjon her også.
Fikk meg tak i litt rør og kappet i vei. Tok utgangspunkt i 1-og-3/4 " rør og 40x40 firkantrør.

Siktet det hele inn "på" bilen, og pønsket ut noen dugelige fester. Hadde i utgangspunktet tenkt å lage kraftige rør med stor anleggsflate direkte inn på ramma, men etter å ha konstatert at tjukkelsen på ramma ikke er mer en max 2,5 mm ble det egentlig skrinlagt. Anleggsflaten måtte ha vært relativt stor, og bolthullene mange, noe som igjen ville ha svekket ramma. Gikk derfor for en annen løsning der festene ble lagt opp mot de tre karroserifestene på hver side. Et press oppover vil dermed løfte både ramme og karroseri med evt last. For å unngå vridning, eller at slideren flytter seg ut eller inn, ble to kraftige stag lagt inn på ramma, men da uten hensikt å "bære" konstruksjonen. Har tro på at dette kan ta i mot ganske så kraftig før jeg bretter opp kanalen.

Men skal se om jeg kan få satt opp et overslag. Frakt fikk jeg på et vis ordnet gjennom en bekjent av en bekjent (jeg jobber for et RoRo-rederi) til en latterlig billig penge, men tviler på at jeg drar i land en slik avtale en gang til.. Organisering tok forøvrig MANGE timer med svette, tårer og frustrasjon! Alt går, selvfølgelig, men vær forberedt på at ting tar TIIIIIIID...
