Har også fått montert fremre beskyttlesesplate. Ser for meg å legge på et par tjukke gummi skiver (1-2 cm båtrull..? ) for å senke den ytterligere en cm eller to.

Festet til rammen er 6mm vinkeljern. Skal holde endel, men vurderer litt om jeg skal legge forsterkning opp i traversen på ramme ("røret" som viser på bildet), men er litt usikker på hva jeg vil skal gi etter om jeg treffer noe stort og hardt i god fart... Får tenke litt på det.

I tillegg til feste i rammen er platen også boltet til den fremre platen (den med hull i), så det skal litt til at den blir presset bakover.

Passet også på at bakre kant av platen bøyer godt oppover slik at jeg ikke blir hengede fast i terrenget om jeg må rygge av en hindring. Tror jeg må finne meg en passende utfordring å teste på i romjulen...

Hvordan liker du den selvoppretende styredempern jeg har prøvd den og synes personlig den virker veldig bra. men den krever litt tid og bli fortrolig med den.
Hva mener du om det???

Veldig fornøyd med styredemperen. Tenker lite over at den oppfører seg noe særlig annerledes, men nå har jeg aldri kjørt med denne demperen på originale elller "små" hjul. Tror den rett og slett kompanserer akkurat passe for større og breiere dekk i forhold til hvor mye selvoppretting styresnekka gir til hjul av original size.

I mitt tilfelle er den også justert litt "motsatt" på grunn av at hevingen drar styrestag og snekke ut av senter, noe som gjør at den "tilsammen" er ca nøytral. Er nok ikke helt optimalt for styring og servo. Har nytt styrestag (justerbart og forsterket) liggende i garasjen, så jeg regner med å montere dette i romjulen. Selvopprettingsfjæren på styredemperen blir da selvfølgelig satt til nøytral.

Tenker av og til at jeg skulle ha hatt en enda kraftigere styredemper da jeg er noe plaget med vibrasjoner, men håper at dette kan bli historie når jeg bytter hjulsett. Avventer derfor eventuell oppgradering til jeg har prøvd dette. Mener å huske at denne styredemperen er beregnet på dekk opptil 35", så jeg litt spent på hvordan det blir med 37". Vi får se...

Så du havner på 37" ja, ante meg det, blir det bf MK2 da. prøv å spiss den litteran ekstra, da pleier ristinga bli bedre.
Tror den dempern fikser 37" uten problemer, ellers kan jeg ta med den store til deg .

Har forresten fått montert på nye styrestag på godbilen idag. Fikk omsider byttet ut det noe reduserte parallellstaget (som ble rettet med vinsj etter en liten tur på skogen for en tid tilbake... nederst på side 4 viewtopic.php?f=25&t=1256&st=0&sk=t&sd=a&start=45), samt byttet ut styrestaget (det uten lengdejustering, ja..). Fikk lagt et par stag fra Superior Engineering på pallen jeg sendte nordover i høst, selvfølgelig av det harde slaget...

Begge stagene passet overaskende rett på, bortsett fra klaven til styredemperen. Kunne jo liksom ikke bare være å skru alle delene rett på. Australiere, altså...

På det siste bildet er styrestaget ferdig montert. Ikke helt i fokus, ser jeg. Skal ta et nytt i morgen.. Har tatt en liten testrunde nå i kveld, og det ser ut som jeg må inn og justere litt mer på på lengden. Vanskelig å få det til å treffe slik at ratt og servo står nøytralt. Men rett skal det bli!

Også tenkte jeg å spørre om en liten sak helt til slutt i kveld...

Holder i sene nattetimer på å snekre sammen en hjemmeside til turprosjektet. Har første "offisielle" utkast ute på nett nå, og tar veldig gjerne mot innspill på hva bil- og turinteresserte kunne tenke seg å se/lese på slike websider. Tanken er at noe av stoffet, særlig det på forsiden, kan oppdateres hyppig (i perioder flere ganger om dagen/når det faktisk skjer) ved hjelp av kameramobil. I tillegg kommer det selvfølgelig større oppdateringer når vi kjører innom steder med WLAN, evt minnepinne og internettkafe.

Bla-funksjonen på bildene på forsiden mangler for øyeblikket. Regner med denne "remsen" på forsiden kun blir en liten smakebit med "de 5 siste bildene vi har tatt", og så lager jeg enten en egen bildeside (og absolutt med bla-funksjon!) eller at jeg kun laster opp på Flickr. Skal se hva jeg klarer å få til. Om noen har linker til gode eksempler på ting som funker, så er jeg veldig interessert!


Ellers har Long Ranger fueltank kommet på plass i dag! Føles godt Var nesten en overaskende enkel prosess, og det meste passet rett på akkurat slik monteringsanvisningen foreslo. Eneste modifiseringen som strengt tatt var nødvendig var å kapppe påfyllingsslagen og luftingsslangen en 7-8-9 cm.

Det eneste ekstra-elementet for dagen, var en ny gjennomføring for fueluttak til Eberspächer'en. Brukte et bremserør og en bremseslange, og koblet disse sammen i gjennomføringen med en kobberskive for å få det tett. Den er nå boltet fast, og eksosen tas ut gjennom "boksen" der fuelpåfyllingen har plass. Jada... Vet at varme og fuel ikke er en god mix, men der er plass nok til å legge eksosslangen godt unna alle slanger og luftinger. Blir nok til at den settes litt ekstra godt fast likevel... Fuel tilførselen går også inn fra samme "boksen", og pumpen ble montert inne i bakskjermen ved baklykten. Mangler et par fester på eksosslangen, samt å sette på "eksospotta". Den lagde faktisk langt mer lyd enn forventet.

Ellers har jeg fått god hjelp av fatter'n idag (i dag igjen... ), og den dyre og kæksete jerrykanneholderen som kun hadde plass til en (1 ????) jerrykanne har nå blitt modifisert så det er plass til to. Får vel gjøre meg litt umake og hente frem sparkelen for denne...

Angående din nya dieseltank. Hur mycket extra rymmer den? Du skrev att du nu kunde tanka før 1500kr åt gången. Blir det ca 30-40L extra då? Nu ær det en god stund sedan jag tankade min men har før mig att tanken rymmer 100L på min. Det kan væl inte skilja så mycket mellan 2,8 å 3,0?
