Jeg må bare si at det er vanskelig å forholde seg til disse folka. kassa skulle kommet med fergen i natt men har ikke hørt en dritt.
Samme med OME fjærene, de skal komme, så ringer jeg igjen og da er det bare utsat noen uker. dette er jo helt håpløst å forholde seg til, alle blir grettene.
Det er på tide vi finner noen nye produkter , helst noe vi kan importere selv, jeg er drit lei dette.

Takk som spør, Roger. Og takk for hjelp med å få tak i reservedeler. Ting begynner definitivt å komme på plass! Har fått på plass ny overhalt converter i girkassen, og brommingen fra lockup er historie. Transferkassen er tilbake i slag etter en merkelig skjæring av tannhjul på hovedaksel etter nedgiring av lavserie. Heldigvis la Marks4wd seg fullstendig flate og sendte sporenreks nye deler med fly. Ble jo litt ekstra pes (og et par dansker har kommet på boikott-lista mi..), men jeg ble til slutt veldig fornøyd med resultatet! Ellers er også akslinger giret ned til 5.42. Er bittelitt synging fra nye kronhjul/pinjong sett, men ikke verre enn at jeg kan leve med det. Regnet vel med litt mer lyd av en 7 tenners pinjong enn originalen. Anleggsflatene på tennene er heller ikke den beste kvaliteten jeg har sett, men tror ikke det blir noe problem. Kudos til Arne Bækken (Bækken Offroadservice) som har tatt akslinger og girkasse.

Når det gjelder det Store prosjektet begynner også detaljene her å falle på plass. Har nå endelig fått avklaring med jobb, og LANGtur har nå gått fra planlegging til UTFØR-fase. Satser på å ha alt klart i løpet av januar, og så sendes bilen deretter over dammen til USA. Opprinnelig var turen planlagt som en rundtur i Sør-Amerika, men etter en liten justering pga jobb for madammen på et isflak nord for Canada, blir det nå start i Alaska (evt fra NY til Alaska først...). Derifra skal det gå jevnt og trutt sørover vestkysten, og så blir det på kryss og tvers i Sør-Amerika så lenge motivasjonen holder. Muligens med båt forbi de værste narkobandene...

Det er jo selvfølgelig litt som skal ordnes på bilen før den sendes, og som jeg nevnte ble det bestilt en pall med godsaker fra Australia litt tidligere i høst. Har plundret med litt diverse så jeg skal legge inn litt bilder og beskrivelser bare jeg får satt meg ned forran pcen en kveld...

Kjempebra det ordner seg for deg, har full forståelse for antydningen om boikott, en kan lett bli dritt lei dette helt unødige røret.
jeg er bare så synsykt lei av de noen ganger.
Ellers er jeg skeptisk til den lyden du nevner. har kjørt en del nedgiret Patroler og dette er ikke vanlig.
Derfor bør dette gjøres noe med dette. nå er det vist noen levrandører som frarådes til vårt bruk.

Hei igjen, folkens!

Blir litt lite oppdateringer her.. Beklager dette, og lover å skjerpe meg. Som jeg har nevnt i noen tidligere poster modifiserer jeg Patrolen med tanke på langtur. Og forhåpentligvis innimellom på skikkelige møkkaveier... For litt siden ble tur og turplaner offisielle, og jeg regner med å legge ut planer, ruteforslag, bilder og rapporter både her på forumet og på en egen side.

En kort intro for spesielt interesserte er:
Med Ro/Ro carrier til New York i slutten av januar - transportetappe med mye innlagt skikjøring før jeg skal møte dama oppe i Alaska - "Turstart" i Dead Horse eller Prudhoe Bay ved Beuforthavet så langt nord du kan komme med bil (Dalton Highway) - neste planlagte stopp er da Usuhaia på sørspissen av Argentina i november neste år.

Innspill på interessante turmål og kjøreruter mottas med takk, og utforskes disse blir dette selvsagt behørig dokumentert!

Eksteriøret begynner å komme på plass. Tok et bilde med mobilen i dag morges, så kvaliteten er ikke helt på topp.

Grind og taktelt er montert. Skal legge ut litt bilder av teltet når det er slått opp og påmontert "annex".

Drivlinjen begynner å få endelig form med 5.42:1 utveksling i akslingene, og lavserien har fått økt utvekslingen fra 1:2.02 til 1:3.75 (85%) med Marks4wd's Gearmaster nedgirings-kit. Har ikke bilder av modifiseringen da dette ble utført av Bækken Offroadservice som hadde bilen inne for overhaling av converter. MEGET dyktig kar. Anbefales!

Ellers er det et par prosjekter til på listen som skal tas frem mot jul. Ny fueltank på 145 liter skal inn, vanntank på 65 liter skal inn, og et par kilometer med kabel som ligger i en floke i lasterommet skal ryddes og kobles for å få forsterker, inverter, kjøleskap, lys, alarmer, landstrøm og batteriisolator til å funke samtidig og helst uten uforklarlige driftsavbrudd... Mer om dette kommer forhåpentligvis plutselig!

Y61 3.0 med automat (som vel er den vanligste versjonen i Norge) har en liten ekstra utfordring når det gjelder nedgiring av aksler. Er ikke sikker på hva slags utveksling som må til på din. Eneste stedet jeg kunne få tak i kronhjul/pinjong med tilstrekkelig utveksling var på Island. Bestilte disse gjennom Steinar på Xtreme 4x4. Selve utskiftingen ble gjort av nevnte firma som holder til på Løten (mellom Hamar og Elverum). At det ble dette firmaet og ikke Xtreme som utførte selve arbeidet, kom av at bilen skulle stå inne der i 3 uker for overhaling av converter, samt at han har et svært godt ord på seg. Og han kan selvfølgelig også ta seg av bestilling av deler og alt slikt.. Kommer jo et par lager, simringer og olje på regningen også.

Ellers går det jo an å undersøke hos Marks4wd (.com) i Australia om hva som er å få tak i av utveksling derifra. Koster fort 4-5-6000 per aksling (inkl.mva) pluss arbeid, så gratis er det ikke... Mitt regnestykke inkluderer heldigvis 0,1-0,2-0,3 liter spart fuel pr mil på 30-40.000 km....

Hey!

Skal prøve å holde meg til bildetaljer i garasje-tråden, og så skal jeg heller legge inn mer om tur der det hører hjemme - feks under "Turer"...

Viste såvidt frem roofrack og taktelt et par poster opp, og tenkte derfor å ta med et par bilder til på dette. Roofrack'en er en ARB Touring av stål. Hadde ønsket meg en alu, men denne racken var kun å få i stål i sommer (når båten gikk). Er en utålmodig sjel så det får heller bli alu når denne er utslitt... Var litt irritert når jeg åpnet pakken og så at de kun hadde sendt meg 4 føtter og ikke 6 som jeg hadde sett for meg. Regner med jeg handler disse fra ARB USA når jeg lander i New York.

Takteltet er den siste modellen av ARB's Simpson 3 (tips: har sett at Taubenreuter (offroad24.de)(og dermed muligens også BGNor..?) har hatt diverse fra forrige modellserie til litt redusert pris, og disse er ikke like god kvalitet iflg australierne), og med tilhørende annex/fortelt. Tilpassing av monteringsskinner på bildet over, bak bilen. Må sages av litt dersom man vil ha teltet på "tvers" for å slå det ut bakover (eller over panseret). Alternativet er selvfølgelig å slå det ut på siden.
